 It's amazing how closely related the causes of earthquakes and volcanoes are. Both are caused by pressure that builds from different actions. The pressure builds until something has to give and that is when you have either an earthquake or a volcano.  I have learned the causes of both and about the tectonic plate boundary and  about the ring of fire, where most volcanoes and earthquakes take place. This has been a real eye-opening class.
